Upgrading Delivery Services to a Pending Sales Order

1. Overview 

When you sell a Room of Choice or White Glove Delivery service, you will receive 10% of the cost as an addition to your regular pay (basically a commission of the sale now goes to you!!). Offering these delivery options to our guests allow them to experience our brand, with a superior level of service.

2.Sample Scripting: Thank you for your purchase (Mr./Miss _____). As an organization, we are happy to offer our guests the option of three different types of delivery services to choose from, to best assist with each person’s needs. I see you have currently selected our (choose applicable: pickup/Drop Ship Prime) option. Our Drop Ship Prime option allows our guests the convenience of having the product delivered, in its manufacture packaging, to your home while being placed outside the front door of your home, or in the case of an apartment building or condo, inside the front lobby or loading dock area. This is available for daytime delivery.  

Secondary to that, we offer our Room of Choice delivery service which not only includes the delivery of the product in its manufacture packaging, but also being placed into the room of your choice. This service is available for mattresses or appliances ONLY. We will unpackage and place into its required location. This is available for daytime and weekend deliveries. 

Lastly, we leave our best service offering for last! This be our White Glove delivery service. With this great option, we are delivering the product, assembling the items, and take away the garbage. A wonderful bonus for this option is we can offer you a reposition or removal of old product, for like items with no additional cost! This is available for daytime and weekend deliveries. The only thing we ask, is you answer the door and let us in, so we can show you how this service sells itself.

3. Upgrading Delivery Services to a Pending Sales Order

Use this process when you are wanting to upgrade a guests delivery services to a pending sales order: 


  1. In Storis, go to the screen Enter a Sales Order
  2. Enter the Sales Order number in the Order Number field and press tab. The sales order generates. 
  3. Select the Merchandise tab 
  4. Select Add Item
  5. Enter either ROC or WG codes based on what the guest wishes to purchase (see section 4 of this article)
  6. Click Save 
  7. Enter the quantity as 1 
  8. Enter the cost as $0.00 
  9. Click Save 
  10. If Storis prompts Zero cost failed, click OK 
  11. Go to the Fulfillment tab 
  12. Press actions and Recalculate delivery charges 
  13. Press Lines to check that the delivery fee was charged correctly. If it was not, please enter the correct amount. 
  14. Click Save 
  15. Go to the Payment tab 
  16. Advise the guest of the following details: 
  17. Balance owing (with taxes) 
  18. Sales Order Number for online payment 
  19. Provide them the payment portal  
  20. Save out of the Sales Order  
  21. Press Other on the audit comment pop-up. Add notes: PROMOTED (INSERT DELIVERY SERVICES PROMOTED) TO GUEST. ADVISED GUEST OF DELIVERY SERVICE DETAILS. SENT TO PAYMENT PORTAL FOR PAYMENT.

Important:  

  • Remove the Free Ship line item from the Sales Order Merchandise tab or remove the Room of Choice line item (depending on what the guest originally had noted on the Sales Order) 
  • Add the correct delivery line item to the order in the Sales Order Merchandise tab (Room of Choice or White Glove delivery)
  • Keep track of the sales order number to provide to your TL once the delivery fee is paid, so that your commission can be added to the commission tracker.
