1. Overview
Please review the required PPP selling sheets to determine the correct warranty coverage for that guest and their product’s needs. This means we will need to ensure we have:
- Confirm which items they want the warranty coverage on
- Peace of Mind Promise (POM) - is our guest aware of this amazing program?
- Once done, we will total the value of items they would like the coverage on, and this will advise us which warranty coverage code we will require and what the cost will be to the guest.
Note: A guest is capable to purchase PPP coverage prior to any possession of their items. Once possession has taken place, they are eligible to purchase PPP within 30 days, the exception is appliances. The PPP for appliances can be purchased up until the end of their manufacture warranty coverage.
2. Promoting Extended Warranty Scripting – Furniture & Bedding
Thank you for your purchase (Mr./Miss _____). We see that at this time, you have no accidental coverage for your items which can come in handy during the normal use of your product.
We have several benefits with this Product Protection Plan which would include an additional 4 years of manufacture coverage on the items themselves, spot cleaning for accidental stains, and our fantastic Piece of Mind Promise which states that should you not use your Product Protection Plan during your 5-year coverage, we will provide this amount back to you as a in store credit to select out another new piece for your home!
We really just want to ensure we are providing our guests with comfort knowing should a warrantable issue arise during the first 5 years that we will be able to attend to it without you having to pay any additional expenses. It’s also a nice bonus if you never have issues as it gives you a reason to come back and select out another great piece for your home. 3. Promoting Extended Warranty Scripting – Motion Bases
Thank you for your purchase (Mr./Miss _____). We see that at this time, you have no accidental coverage for your items which can come in handy during the normal use of your product.

With this PPP plan, it also includes our fantastic Piece of Mind Promise which states that should you not use your Product Protection Plan during your 10-year coverage, we will provide this amount back to you as a in store credit to select out another new piece for your home!

4. Promoting Extended Warranty Procedure
Use this procedure when a guest is purchasing extend warranty, and a new sales order for the PPP purchase is required:
- In Storis, go to Enter a Sales Order
- Press the green add icon to generate a Sales Order number
- In the Customer Number field, enter in the customer code of that guest. Note: If prompted asking which route code, choose your selection
- Change Store Location to 129
- Enter Salesperson code as 55NA
- Select the Merchandise tab
- In the Product field, enter in EXTENDADDON
- Review the cost of the PPP: https://5p1592.acquire.io/kb/knowledge-base-default/warranty-programs/tdg-extended-warranty-sell-sheets and enter the cost into the Price field
- Press Save
- Select Actions > Line Comments. Enter your Storis ID (Example: SG05)
- Press Save twice
- Select Payment tab
- Review total owed with taxes and advise the guest

- Select Actions > Audit Comment Log > Update Comments
- CREATED SALES ORDER FOR GUEST TO PURCHASE PPP ON THEIR (INSERT ITEMS)
SENT GUEST PAYMENT PORTAL FOR PAYMENT
SENT DTR TICKET 12345 FOR CAREKIT TO BE MAILED TO GUEST (CONFIRMED ADDRESS) OR ADVISED GUEST TO PICK UP FROM LOCAL STORE AS CANT MAIL IN WINTER
EMAILED (INSERT NAME) TO ADD ONTO TRACKING SHEET
22. Press Save
23. Press Exit
24. Press Save twice
5. The Final Touches
Once the payment has been made and verified, a team lead will add the extended warranty sales commission to the TDG guest care tracking sheet which will be sent to payroll each pay period. Additionally, they will invoice off the sales order, same day as payment.
6. Tutoris Care Kits
A guest is able to receive a Tutoris Care Kit should they request one. If so, we can have these mailed out to the guest from the Winnipeg distribution center, regardless of what region the guest is located in. Care kits cannot be mailed in the winter months due to the cold; the guest would need to pick up from their local store.
