1. Overview

Each year, our Manitoba guests have road restrictions come into place during the springtime due to government legislations regarding road safety concerns. Even though this occurs each year, the start and end dates do vary year by year as these are weather based. The Delivery Planning department will communicate these details to our team.  

To prepare TDG and ensure we are not negatively impacting our guest’s experience, Guest Care and Delivery Planning are taking additional steps to prevent any disruption in our normal delivery services.  

• Delivery Planning has updated route codes for guests who would be eligible for Spring Road deliveries.  
• From the store level, when creating the new Sales Order for that guest, when the pop up for route codes appear, this would also include the Spring Road code availability.  

IMPORTANT: If the guest will not require the product during the Spring Road restriction timelines, then you would be able to select daytime or evening route codes (depending on the guest location). However, if the guest requires the product during this duration, you will need to select the Spring Road choice, to ensure you are selecting availability on the correct trucks and/or region.  

With having Guest Care and Delivery Planning taking these criterial steps, we should all be able to overcome this “challenge” that our guests experience during this time of the year in the Manitoba region.

This tool allows you to search for a road, this will help you to determine if the road the customer resides is spring restricted (will show as Spring Road Warning), this is a basic warning please ensure to use all available information in the F: drive and cross reference with the map/list available to fully determine your answer
