1. Overview

Auto-fill is a function within Storis that automatically reserves product to an order based on the estimated delivery or pick up, date relative to the current date.  

If there is available product in the distribution center, it automatically reserves to any sales order in the system that has an estimated delivery or pick up date within the allotted autofill. Orders dated outside of autofill will not have any product reserved by this function. 

  

Auto-fill is currently set to 7 days, for all categories of product.

  

Note: Supply Chain manages and updates the auto-fill days in Storis. 


2. How does product get reserved?

With replenishment, a Purchase Order is NOT created for every single sales order, therefore product does not automatically reserve or stay reserved to an order when it is received. 

  

3. When Guest Cannot Accept Their Product Within Autofill Period


There are times when a guest will no longer be available for their original delivery date due to a multitude of reasons (home reno’s for example). It is up to us, to inform the guest that choosing to wait, means TDG will reorder their product for them. This results in the product being released for another guest who would like their items sooner. We cannot promise, but we will aim to have this reordered, and in for their secondary date they have now chosen. 


Bottom Line:
The guest options are to accept the items within our autofill period, or we can update their order and advise the new ATP based upon their new requested date. 


Use this procedure when adjusting the sales order due to guest not accepting their items within auto-fill:

       1. Go into the Sales Order 

       2. Select the Fulfillment tab 

       3. In the calendar field, select the date the guest would like the product for 


Note: Once changing this date, this will also adjust the ATP date for the items on the Sales Order 


       4. Advise the guest of the new available ATP date(s) and inform them we will call once product is in to arrange the possession date.
